11 Plus

At Edge Learning we provide tutoring for 11 plus exams. Our preparation covers English, Mathematics, Verbal and Non -Verbal. Children learn in small groups which means that each child is given focused attention but they also have the chance to learn  from other students. At Edge Learning we value this approach, time and again education studies have shown that children learn through working with their peers.

Children are introduced to the types and formats of questions they will face in the tests. In tutoring sessions the children have the time to develop their confidence and ability to answer questions. Children are also taught the key skills in exam technique and will have the opportunity to hone and improve these.

Confidence is key and children are encouraged to develop the confidence to answer test questions. 11 plus tests are challenging and not every child will pass but during the process of learning and preparing children improve as students and they arrive at the end of their Primary School education in excellent position to face the challenges of Secondary School.
